"Why? Well, and then?", 2005 to Present
Crochet thread text panels

"Why? Well, and then?" is a work made in
response to a writing by Leo Tolstoy on the
meaning of life. Each of the strips of text lists
one possible meaning of life. Some of the text
strips are my own views, and others are views
from other people.

This is an ongoing work.

Transcript of the texts:

As long as I did not know why, I could not live  –
Leo Tolstoy

… To simply live until one dies (existence has no
meaning beyond which one gives it)

… To love and be loved

… To learn and find enlightenment

… To leave a legacy such as a work of art

… Keep yourself so busy you forget to ask why

Too tired to care to ask why
